Renewed Prayer Challenge - Day 23

Setting my mind on Him:

Pray through Scripture:

Confession:
  • Privacy - I too often feel a right to "my" things, "my" time, forgetting it all belongs to Him

Heart of Gratitude:
  • Colossians 3:15 - peace and thankfulness go hand in hand
  • "And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful."

Prayer burdens:
  • My safety as I go about my days
  • Husband's scheduling both in and around work
  • Kids' peacefulness
  • Outreach to have a bold witness

Response:
I was reminded today that prayer is the real work. Just as Epaphras lived out in Colossians 4:12, we must struggle through prayer for those that need it. I'm in this for the long haul, for the eternal reward. We're not promised an easy life, but we are promised the ultimate victory. Of that we can be assured. So many Psalms are about individuals crying out to God as they see the wicked prosper and the righteous suffering. God continually speaks to their hearts to keep their eyes on the eternal prize. It is all necessary. I keep pressing on. Christ set the example, nailed to the cross by His love for me. Surely I can make it through another day.

Thank you, Lord, for your deep, deep love. Thank you for the promise of victory. Thank you for bringing before my eyes and heart just the passage of Scripture I need to thrive today. You are a good Father. ~ In Jesus Name, Amen
