Had to share this . . .

My 8 year old daughter decided she wanted to try her hand at some poetry today. I have been discussing rhyme and rhythm with my older son as part of his English recently, but I think she has absorbed some through osmosis or something. Here is her original work entitled "The Wind"

The Wind

I feel the wind as I run through the field

As I feel the summer running by me.

As if I was flying through the air

The breeze riding through my hair.

I was impressed and had to share. Have I said that I love homeschooling? I love being here for all of these moments.
